Radical Opening

Lectio for January 24

The next day John again was standing with two of his disciples, and as he watched Jesus walk by, he exclaimed, "Look, here is the Lamb of God!" The two disciples heard him say this, and they followed Jesus. When Jesus turned and saw them following, he said to them, "What are you looking for?" They said to him, "Rabbi" (which translated means Teacher), "where are you staying?" He said to them, "Come and see." -From the Gospel of John

It doesn't matter how far we think we've gone. It is our willingness to open radically and repeatedly just now that characterizes this journey. --Jack Kornfield

Most people guard against going into the fire
and end up in it...
If you are a friend of God
fire is your water.
You should wish to have a hundred thousand
sets of moth wings,
so you could burn them away, one set a night. --Rumi
